We had the pleasure of trekking with our guide Jon (Janardan ) from J One Trekking and Expedition during our Everest Base Camp trek, and I can confidently say he was one of the highlights of our entire journey. From the very beginning, he was incredibly helpful, attentive, and professional. He has good knowledge of the region — from local culture and traditions to the history of the Everest region — added so much richness to our experience. He always made sure that everyone in the group was comfortable, safe, and well-paced, especially during the more challenging sections of the trek. His calm and positive attitude kept morale high even on the toughest days. He also shared a lot of local insights that you simply wouldn’t get otherwise — stories, hidden details, and practical tips that made the journey even more memorable.

My amazing time in Nepal is entirely thanks to Jon! We completed the Everest Base Camp trek together, and it was the most incredible experience of my life. From day one, Jon explained everything clearly and supported me every step of the way. We hiked at my pace and took as many breaks as I needed, which made the journey both enjoyable and comfortable. Everything was perfectly organized, and it was obvious how much Jon genuinely loves sharing the beauty of Nepal and the trek with others. I could ask him anything, and he always had fascinating stories and insights to share, not only about the mountains and nature, but also about the local culture and traditions. I just finished up an 8 day trek through Langtang National Park, with guide and owner Jon.
I have pages of positive things I could say. Jon was amazing. So informative, but also stepped back and let me take the pace and control when I wanted. He made the whole 8 days smooth, safe, worry free and most of all, fun!
